Cortland Chamber Awards Racker Centers Non Profit of the Year

The Cortland Area Chamber of Commerce holds an annual dinner at which a number of community awards are presented. This past November, Racker Centers was honored to be presented with the Non Profit of Year Award by Chamber President, Bob Haight. Call Cuomo - Staff who support people with disabilities deserve an increase


CALL THE GOVERNOR AND YOUR LEGISLATORS TODAY!!!!!
PLEASE TELL GOVERNOR CUOMO NOT TO FORGET US!


Governor Cuomo has proposed a $15 minimum wage for all but he failed to put funding in for Direct Support Professionals, special education staff and other low wage workers whose rate is set by the State.
He MUST fund his proposed minimum wage increase in his budget amendments

STAFF WHO SUPPORT PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES DESERVE AN INCREASE ALONG WITH THE $15 MINIMUM WAGE!

The Ithaca SERTOMA Club has supported many important causes within our community over the years, from an annual nursing scholarship to Dessie Jacobs Softball and various other community projects. Racker Centers Celebrates 10 Years of Partnership Program

In 2004, Racker Centers ventured on the path to creating a program to address the community’s growing need for local services for families with children on the autism spectrum. This venture entailed more than a year of preparation, study, research, and fundraising, culminating in the opening of the first integrated preschool classroom for children on the autism spectrum in New York State, the Racker Centers’ Partnership Program. John Ben Snow Foundation & Cortland Community Foundation Support Preschool

The John Ben Snow Foundation and The Cortland Community Foundation generously awarded Racker Centers grants in early 2014 to support the Cortland Special Education preschool playground building project. The build took place in May, 2014 with 35 individuals from the community volunteering to help with the project.

Senator Thomas O'Mara to host Community Meeting
