Special Education

 

The Centers' speech, physical and occupational therapists, special education teachers, and social workers are engaged with children and families in their homes and in community settings as well as in our classrooms.

Since our preschools serve children from age 3 - 5 years of age, kindergarten is just around the corner and preparing all children for this next step is a consistent focus.

  "I liked that the teachers geared the activities towards education," stated Kathy regarding her triplets experience at Franziska Racker Centers Preschool. "We took into consideration the suggeston of the Centers' staff to split up the triplets in Kindergarten. The Centers really helped with that transition by rotating each child out of their primary class for an entire day so they got used to being on their own. We are blessed with kids that enjoy the school experience, but their preparation for the next step (kindergarten) is because the staff at the Centers really cared!"
