Organizations, like people, have their own distinct character. At the Centers, the things we do and how we do them are based on our history, our shared values, and our vision of the future.

Toddler Leans on Table and Smiles

"We find delight in the beauty and happiness of children that makes the heart too big for the body." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

The first five years of life are when growth, learning, and development are most dramatic and the impact of intervention can be highest. Our staff is committed to helping young children and addressing concerns in these beginning stages. Working together with families, we facilitate the development of attributes in young children that will benefit them throughout their lives.

School Age Services

Our school years are an intense time of learning, increasing social awareness, and the challenges of defining who we are.  Centers staff have been partnering with public schools for over forty years, supporting students and teachers. Our mental health counselors, psychologists, therapists, and teachers partner with school teams to help students learn and grow.

Adult Services

?Each person has an ideal, a hope, a dream which represents the soul. We must give to it the warmth of love, the light of understanding and the essence of encouragement.?  -Colby Dorr Dam

Adult Resident on Bike

The end of a school career at age 21 is a time of new beginnings and new opportunities. As people move ahead in life, the desire to participate, have friends, learn and be independent increases. Welcoming each individual to be a valued member of society is the underlying goal of the Centers programs for adults. Franziska Racker Centers helps people learn new skills, achieve goals and follow their dreams throughout their adulthood years.

Resources for Families

"Perhaps the greatest social service that can be rendered by anybody to the country and to mankind is to bring up a family." - George Bernard ShawFather Kisses Baby on Head

Franziska Racker Centers' programs and services are focused on supporting the entire family, all the people that love and care about the person with a special need, to enable the quality of life that all individuals deserve. We do this by offering activities, events, support groups and resources that help families continue to learn and grow.
